We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded ISO 14001: 2015 accredited status for our environmental management systems. A great start to 2018! The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) certifies businesses for conformity in a wide number of areas. The idea is to facilitate agreement about quality standards in businesses all over the world.
The ISO 14000 Family
ISO 14001 is part of a series of environmental management standards that examine all aspects of a business’s environmental and sustainability policy. ISO 14001 includes the core standards and principles that are applicable to most sectors. Other standards in the ISO 14000 series, such as ISO 14006, are supporting certifications that examine specific environmental systems in different industries.
Benefits of ISO 14001 Accreditation
ISO 14001 looks at practical ways for businesses to improve environmental responsibility in their day-to-day work by establishing efficient environmental management systems. The benefits for compliant businesses and their customers are wide reaching. Greater efficiency invariably leads to a wiser use of resources, a reduction of waste and consequentially lower prices – increasing customer trust and giving businesses a competitive advantage.
Areas of assessment included:
- Compliance with environmental regulations and statutes
- Engagement of company management and employees with environmental systems
- The company reputation among stakeholders and the wider market, and how the business communicates its environmental strategy
- How environmental issues shape business management and growth strategy
- How environmental management systems demonstrate the versatility to improve over time and respond to changing circumstances
We were assessed by a representative of Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance in December 2017 and were awarded certificate identity number 10043598. ISO accreditations are a reflection of an ongoing commitment to quality, so systems have to be reassessed at regular intervals. Our next evaluation for ISO 14001 compliance will take place at the end of 2020.
We are also accredited to ISO 9001 standards for quality management. To find out more about our commitment to continual improvement and providing the best service to our customers, please email firstname.lastname@example.org, or give us a call directly on +44 (0) 1926 499508.
